Van Hill is the founder and CEO of VHproduct, a software studio whose products he designs, writes and runs himself. Under Van Hill, VHproduct has grown from a single chat app into a connected platform: a game engine and creator, a marketplace, a currency and card system, a shop, and a staff tool — all built on the same infrastructure and all maintained by hand.
What Van Hill builds
Van Hill works across the whole stack. He writes the WebGL engine that renders Phosphor's worlds, the Node services that run behind every VHproduct site, and the interfaces people actually use. Each product below is his work.
Phosphor
A browser game platform: a 3D creator, a physics and rendering engine written from scratch, shared multiplayer worlds, and a marketplace where members publish what they make.
Harmony
The chat and workspace at the centre of VHproduct — direct messages, group rooms, voice and video calls, and the account system every other product signs in through.
VHproduct Exchange
VHp, the platform's currency, with savings, transfers and a Buy Now Pay Later card that members can spend across VHproduct.
VH-Store
A shop where members buy with VHp or on their card, and sellers list their own goods.
VHproduct Music & TV
A music library and a video service, both built on the same accounts and the same servers.
V-Studio
A music studio that runs in the browser — instruments, recording and mixing on the Web Audio API.
How Van Hill works
Van Hill runs VHproduct as a working engineer rather than from a distance. The rendering engine, the multiplayer hub, the payment ledger and the deployment on the server are all his: one person holding the whole system in their head, which is what lets the products fit together as tightly as they do.
That shows up in the details. An account made in Harmony works in Phosphor, the card issued by the Exchange is accepted at VH-Store, and a game published in the creator is playable in the marketplace minutes later. Van Hill designs each piece so the next one has somewhere to plug in.
He also runs the studio's operations — the staff tools, the evaluation and payroll system, and the infrastructure every VHproduct service depends on.
